Michelle Greene
Michelle previously served as the shared Conservation Agent for the towns of West Newbury and Merrimac and also as the Land Agent in West Newbury. Her interest in natural resource management began at a young age, growing up exploring the forests and coastlines of New England. After completing undergraduate degrees in biology and environmental science, she transitioned from a career as a legal assistant to a career in environmental science and has worked previously as an at-sea monitor collecting data aboard commercial fishing vessels for NOAA and as an inventory arborist as part of the state’s Asian Longhorned Beetle eradication program. Michelle’s background helps her navigate both the legal and scientific components of wetlands permitting and monitoring projects under the Wetlands Protection Act and local bylaws. In her free time, Michelle enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, fishing, and being involved with citizen science projects, including volunteering with the Native Plant Trust surveying for rare plants in MA & NH.
